Seasonal bistronomic dishes with a Mediterranean spirit, served in a room with exposed stonework. Emmanuel Champion and his wife Sylvie have taken over La Bartavelle, a pretty bird name that brings us back to the Provence of Pagnol. Those who knew this famous restaurant by Gérard Lefèvre will come back with pleasure to taste the new flavors of the bistronomic menu.
Emmanuel works with local products, of course, in Mediterranean-inspired recipes. In the spring, green asparagus au gratin with parmesan accompanies a roast saddle of lamb seasoned with a lemon and olive Viennese and the desserts honor local strawberries. In summer, it is the cherry clafoutis served with goat curd with lemon zest that flatters gourmet palates after the wild fish of the moment cooked with sun-kissed vegetables. In the first frosts, the menu is filled with game, returns from hunting from the surrounding area which flirt on the plate with mushrooms and truffles from the Luberon.
It's Sylvie who recommends the wines, especially those from here, at very reasonable prices. The setting of this village house has character, the atmosphere is cozy, you almost feel like you are in a guest house. Better to book
